Your Many Landscape Lighting Choices & OptionsThis is a featured page

Landscape Solar Garden Lighting, when strategically located, can make any home landscape safe and appealing. You can accent walkways, patios, and an especially quaint bush or flower bed. If placed properly, landscape lighting may convert a yard into a lovely outdoor room at night. Thoughtful design may even permit you and your family to move about that room without twisting ankles or stubbing toes, and that's something that no one wants to occur.

120-volt lighting is alternately labeled as high voltage lighting. That sort of landscape lighting depends on the same style of electrical lines which are used for a normal house. 120 volt lighting is particularly bright, and it is more properly used to illuminate larger areas, like parks or ball fields. If you have an especially large yard, this type of lighting could provide the voltage required to brighten a quarter-mile driveway or large gazebo. It is relatively high priced to run and install, unfortunately. The power lines need to be buried inside a conduit, and usually an electrician and one or two local permits can be required for putting the equipment in. So, it is important to do do your homework.

12-volt lighting, Solar Flood Light, or low voltage lighting, is cheaper and more flexible than 120-volt lighting. Since the wires do not communicate such a dangerous level of electricity, they will not need to be buried. A transformer must be used to run 12-volt lights, although once the lights are connected to the transformer, the separate lights may be changed around without a problem. While you may hire an electrician to hook up the transformer, in some areas this is not demanded. So, the installation should not need to be expensive. Obviously, these lights will use less juice than 120 volt lighting configurations, so your power bills will not need to be expensive, either. The similarly obvious exchange is that they aren’t going to be as bright. Still, the lower voltage lights will produce sufficient light levels for an average yard. So, it is really something to look into for your home.

Solar Flood Garden Lighting fixtures are the most adaptable and least expensive to own. Several models have a big single solar cell that can be connected to the single lights, but some different styles come with individual cells incorporated into each fixture. The first kind permits you to choose one particularly sunny location in a yard for collecting energy. Then the power can be sent through cords to lights which are installed in usually shady places. The second style involves no cables, and the individual lights may be mounted nearly anywhere and repositioned easily, so, it’s highly customizable.

Landscape lighting may be used to make your yard a attractive outdoor “room” by accenting plantings and architectural features. Or, if you’d rather, it can simply mark a pathway to your home. However you decide to depend on landscape lighting, someone makes a landscape lighting option to answer your needs and accommodate your budget. Remember with just a little perseverance and patience you can do anything.
